Our puppy classes will include letting the dogs play off-leash to help puppies learn appropriate play, good bite inhibition and develop good puppy skills. Pet Therapy Prep Class
Pet Therapy Teams are dogs/human teams that visit facilities with the intention of providing comfort and happiness to people. This can include adult daycares, hospitals, nursing homes, children’s libraries and rehabilitation clinics. Studies have proven that these special dogs can help aid humans by: lowering their blood pressure, decreasing pressure and anxiety, opening up communication, and assisting children with their learning skills. In our Pet Therapy Prep class we will take the first three classes to breakdown and practice all the skills needed to pass Creature Comfort’s Pet Therapy Evaluation, and practice the skills needed to be a pet therapy dog. The fourth week will be a Pet Therapy Evaluation done by Creature Comfort which is used to qualify for pet therapy certification.
