AGILITY CLASSES

Morris K9 Campus is proud to offer the following selection of Agility Classes for our students.
Please note that all of our classes require that dogs are both dog and people friendly. In order to keep our students healthy and safe we kindly ask that all dogs are in good health with no signs of illness, lameness, or injuries.
Level 1 - Beginner Foundation Agility - Click Here To Enroll
This class is designed to get you and your dog started in Agility training. Having a solid set of foundation skills is the goal to our foundation Agility class. All positive training methods will be used when introducing ground work skills and obstacle training. Some of the skills taught in foundation agility will be crate games, body awareness, flatwork, obstacle free shaping, tunnels, jump position, and low contact obstacle familiarization.

Level 1 - Advanced Beginner - Click Here To Enroll
This class is meant for anyone who has taken Beginner Agility, Beginner Foundation Puppy Agility, Agility for Fun or has some prior Agility training but needs to refresh some skills. This class will continue the introduction to all agility equipment until each team is successfully performing each obstacle. At this level other skills will be introduced like weave poles, contact positions, front crosses and rear crosses.

Level 2 - Intermediate - Click Here To Enroll
The intermediate level is for those who are beyond the Beginner and Advanced Beginner level. The dogs have an understanding of all individual agility equipment but behaviors may not be consistent. This class is meant to get more focused on contact training, weave polls, directional changes, and making obstacles independent. There will be an introduction to jump sequencing in straight lines and circles. Agility teams will learn how to work together to cue obstacles in acceleration and deceleration. Contact obstacles will be increased in height. This class may be repeated until these skills are trained and the team feels comfortable on all agility equipment.

Level 3 - Novice Competition - Click Here To Enroll
This class is designed to get you ready for Novice competition. This class will continue to work on sequencing multiple obstacles on both a jumpers and standard style course. Teams will continue to work on course analysis, adding new skills like obstacle discrimination, serpentines, and other jump configuration skills. There will be more focus on startlines, position cues, jumping extension, jumping collection, front and rear crosses on all obstacles. This class is open to any team who has taken Novice Prep or is competing at the Novice level.

Level 4 - Open/Advanced Competition - Click Here To Enroll
This class is designed for Agility teams who are competing in this level or are beyond the Novice Competition class. This class will focus on handler lead out positional cues, more complicated obstacle discriminations, distance work, independent weave polls and full course work.

Level 5 - Excellent/Masters Competition - Click Here To Enroll
The Excellent level is for those Agility teams who are beyond the Open level and competing in any of the highest levels in Agility competition. This class will focus on those sills required to be successful at the highest levels in all Agility venues. Teams are expected to be competent on all obstacles, and have most skills independent. Students will be challenged with course strategy, distance skills, multiple changes in direction, efficient handling techniques, and increasing speed.
